Adding a Canister to the Alpaca

     Instructions

    1. Go to 'Master Maintenance' → select 'Canister Registration Master'

    1. Select ‘Add New’ to add a canister

    1. For ‘Drug Code’, search by the drug code - making sure to search in uppercase - and select the correct code

    If the drug code does not appear, add the drug code into a test patient on your packing software as a drug (including directions). Send a pack of the test patient to the Alpaca. Then search for the drug code again. The drug code should appear now. You can delete the test patient pack once the canister has been successfully added.

    1. Assign the 'Canister No.' - as printed on the canister

    1. Set the 'Maximum Qty' as 1000

    2. Update ‘Alert Qty’, ‘SOH”, ‘Batch Number’ and 'Expiry Date’ as required

    3. Set the 'Canister size' to Small (SS) or Large (L) as required

    4. Select ‘Save’

    5. Select 'Finish'
