Unmapped Drugs

Occasionally, you will be required to map or link drugs from your Dispense Software to the drugs listed your patient’s profile. Once drug mapping is completed, it will be applied to all patient profiles with the same drug. So, the next time the drug is dispensed, it will appear in the Mapped tab, ready for importing to update patients' pill balances.

We highly recommend that you check for unmapped drugs once you have completed importing all prescriptions in Mapped tab. This will ensure the drugs are mapped and quantities imported into your patient’s pill balance.

 Instructions

Follow the steps below to check and link unmapped drugs, following prescriptions import in Dispense Tracker - Mapped tab:

  1. From the left menu bar, select Dispense Tracker.

  2. Select Unmapped tab.

  3. Select date range covering the period of dispensed prescriptions.

  4. Select Apply to display prescriptions.

     

  5. To view unmapped prescriptions, select a Patient Group and Patient in the relevant filters.

  6. Prescriptions that require mapping for the selected patient will display in the area below.

  7. To map a prescription, click and highlight the drug.

  8. Under Profile Drug column, click on Select Drug. This will display a list of drugs in the patient’s medication profile.

  9. Select a drug on the list, one that is equivalent to the dispensed drug that you’d like to map to.

    1. By selecting the tick box ‘Show Ceased Profile Drugs’, ceased drugs will display on the list, highlighted in red.

  10. Click Save to assign drug for mapping.

  11. Drug is now assigned, ready to be mapped.

    1. Adjust the script QTY, if necessary, by selection on the pencil icon.

  12. Repeat steps 7 to 10 for every drug that requires mapping .

  13. Select Import Selected Scripts to import the QTY to the patient’s pill balance.

    1. Ensure the drug is selected.
