Virtual Pill Balance also known as VPBis used to manage the balance of your patient’s packed medications. Before you start using this functionthe VPB function to manage medication balances, you must enter the initial pill balancefor all your patient’s patients' packed medications.
Let’s begin by printing generating a report to with a list of all the active medications that is required to be counted and recorded.
Initial Pill Balance entry is only required to be completed once, when setting up a NEW group of patients Patient Group.

Follow the below steps on how to generate the initial pill balance report and record the balance.

You may wish to export data for selected group(s) to count and record. The below filters will assist you with generating data you require:
Patient Groups (set to all by default)
Patients (set to all by default)
Patient Status (set to Active by default)
Drug Status (set to Packed by default)

Click on the green download button.
Select Export Balance to download an excel spreadsheet

for the selected patients. The report can be found in your Downloads folder.
