You have the flexibility to recommence drugs that were previously ceased, according to doctor’s orders.

In patient’s medication profile,

  • Active drugs appears first, and are listed under each drug statuses.

  • Ceased drugs are highlighted in red, and appears last on the medication profile, under Ceased.


Cease a drug

Follow the steps below to cease a drug from medication profile.

  1. Select the patient from the patient list.

  2. From the medication profile, select the drug to cease. You will be directed to the edit drug details page.

  3. Select Cease Drug.

    1. A pop-up warning will appear for you to select Cancel or Confirm to proceed.

  4. An end date will be assigned to this drug (i.e Today’s date).

  5. Click Save. This drug is now ceased.

  6. This drug will be removed from active drug list, and moved to Ceased section and highlighted red.


Recommence a ceased drug

Follow the steps below to recommence a ceased drug from the medication profile.

  1. Select the patient from the patient list.

  2. From the medication profile, select the ceased drug you wish to recommence. You will be directed to the edit drug details page.

  3. Select Recommence Drug.

    1. End Date will be removed

    2. Start Date will update to the date you recommence the drug (i.e. Today’s date). You can change this date as required.

  4. Click Save. This drug is now active.

  5. This drug will be removed from Ceased drug list, and will appear in the active drug list.
