Virtual Pill Balance also known as VPB is used to manage the balance of your patient’s packed medications.
Before you start using this function, you must enter the initial pill balance for all your patient’s packed medications. Let’s begin by printing a report to list all the active medications that is required to be counted and recorded.
Initial Pill Balance entry is only required to be completed once when setting up a NEW group of patients.

Follow the below steps on how to generate the initial pill balance report and record the balance.
Select Virtual Pill Balance from the Left Hand Side Menu.
Using the below filters, you can export specific data to begin counting the balance to record.
Patient Groups (set to all by default)
Patients (set to all by default)
Patient Status (set to Active by default)
Drug Status (set to Packed by default)
Select the green download button.
Select Export Balance to download an excel spreadsheet of your selected patients. The report can be found in your Downloads folder.
Once you have counted the remaining balance of your patient’s packed medications, enter the amount into Column E - Current Balance. Save and close your document.
When you are ready to import the initial pill balance into VPB, select the green download button.
Select Import Balance to select the destination folder where you have saved your file → Select open.
The entered balance in column E will then be imported as the patient’s initial pill balance.
It is important that you do not edit any other columns other than Column E - Current Balance on your excel spreadsheet.
