Release Notes 7.2

New Features

The 7.2 release brings improvements, and enhancements based on feedback received from our customers. Details of some of the key changes are below:


Patient Profiles

1. Total count of Patients and their Status

You will now see the total count of patients and their status. I.e. Active, Paused, Deceased and Inactive Patients. Refer to Add Patients to Facilities for further information.

2. myPak Blister size can be applied to Patient’s Profile, Foils and Labels

You can now add the size of myPak blister required to pack the patient’s medications and it will also print on foils and labels. Simply select the size required in the drop down option. This will be applied per foil within the patient’s profile.

The blister size will appear in the following locations:

  • myPak Solid and myPak Perforated Foils

  • myPak Trifold Label

3. New warning and restrictions for Methotrexate Drugs

To ensure we are aligned with PSA Guidelines, a new warning and restriction has been applied when adding Methotrexate Drugs to Patient Profiles. The warning is designed to inform you that you must select the frequency of Specific Days and only selecting ONE DAY of the week. Refer to Methotrexate Drugs for further information on how to apply this function.

4. Drug Alert Warning

There is a new field in the drug card called Alert. You have the option to manually enter your own drug warning or select from the default in the drop down. This alert will print on your foils/labels for patients who are on the selected drug.

Printing and Sending

1. Next Pack Cycle Dates

You can now set the start date of your Packing Cycle for each of your facilities. It will then display the next start date of your pack cycle when you print your foils and labels.

Please note this function is only applicable for Blister patients only.

  1. Select Facilities from the left menu

  2. Select Packing Cycle Settings

  3. Select the Initial Start Date

  4. Select the frequency of Packing Cycle

Once you have set the start date of your pack cycle per facility, it will be displayed in the following 3 areas:

  1. Main Patient List

  2. Patient Profile

  3. Printing Foils/Front Header Labels

2. Last Pack End Date and Days Overdue

Two new columns have been added to the Print Foils/Front Header Labels area.

  1. Last Pack End Date: This will display the last day packed of the last printed foil/front header of each patient.

  2. Days Overdue: This will display the total number of days between the Last Pack End Date and Next Pack Cycle Date. It will indicate when a pack has not been printed for supply over a period.
    E.g. Next Pack Cycle Date is 14/02/2022, however if your Last Pack End Date is 10/02/2022 - this means your pack is overdue by 3 days.

Please note that this feature will only apply on your next packing run after the myPak software has been updated

3. Drug Images will now print on myPak Weekly Unit Dose foils

Drug images will now be displayed above the column to be packed on myPak Solid/Perforated and Alpaca Weekly Unit Dose foils. See myPak Unit Dose for further information on this feature.

1. Total Number Packed per timeslot - myPak Trifold Labels

As requested by our customers, we have brought back the total number of packed per timeslot option for myPak Trifold labels. You will now have the choice to select from our Print Foils options whether you prefer to display total number of pieces packed per timeslot or total number of packed per timeslot. Refer to myPak Trifold Labels for further information on how to apply this function.

2. Printing on Pottles - myPak Solid, Perforated and Alpaca Foils.

A new option has been implemented to give you the option to remove the printing of medications on pottles. Refer to Foils for further information on how to apply this function.

We have introduced 2 new Patient Reports and made improvements to others.

Improvements to Drug Usage/Polypharmacy Report

PPA Claim

We have enhanced our PPA claim template for both DAA and IDAA patients making it even easier to export your monthly claim. You can now select which facility you would like to include in your export data. Refer to PPA Claim for further information on this function.


Dispense Integration

1. Update of Minfos importing items

We have added the following 2 areas to be imported into myPak when importing new patients from Minfos Dispensing System.

  1. Drug Directions

  2. Doctor’s prescriber number, suburb, state, postcode and email address

Please note this feature only applies to customer using Minfos Dispense systems

2. QScript for NRMC Charts Scripts - MINFOS.

We have added a new function to allow you to queue NRMC scripts via QScript to be dispensed in MINFOS. Refer to NRMC Scripts for further information on how to apply this function.

3. Corum Clear Dispense Integration is now complete

myPak is now integrated with Corum Clear Dispense. You can now import your patient profiles from CCD into myPak along with managing scripts in Virtual Pill Balance and importing of scripts via Dispense Tracker.

Additional of Ward code and Room Number to Purge Area

When purging deceased/inactive patients in the Options/General tab area, you will now see 2 new columns displaying the ward code and room number.

Other:

New Updates

When a new update is available, you’ll receive a notification at the top of the myPak software to select on the link to download and apply. Ensure you run the update on every single myPak machine before reopening for use.

Resolved Issues

  1. myPak Solid/Perf Foil - PRN Part Pack Printing: When a facility has Automation selected, the Print Foil > Part Pack option will print on the correct number of days selected.

  2. Paused Patients in VPB and QScript: Paused patients will no longer be displayed when All Facilities has been selected in these 2 areas.
