Release Notes 7.3

New Features

The 7.3 release brings improvements, and enhancements based on feedback received from our customers. Details of some of the key changes are below:

Pack Printing and Updates

1. New Print Pack button

The ‘Print Foil’ and ‘Print Front Label’ buttons in patient profile have been updated to ‘Print Pack’. This covers all manner of printing for all pack types, including myPak foils, Tri Fold Labels, Ppak front Labels…

For all Ppak, Rpak and Disposapak customers, we have now combined the Print Foils and Print Front Labels printing areas into one central area. This will make it simpler to complete both print runs for the same patients without having to re-select the ‘Pack Start Date’ etc.

2. Printing Part Week Packs on myPak Tri Fold Label

Part Week Pack heading is now printed on the myPak Tri Fold Label to indicate a partial week supply, with the appropriate Pack Start / End dates, based on the number of days selected.

3. Drug images printing on myPak Solid/Perf - Weekly Unit Dose

The Weekly Unit dose foils in the myPak Solid & Perf foils now includes drug images on the front section of the foils.

Reports

We have added new reports in Patient Reports, and made improvements to others.

1. All Active Packed Medications

This report provides a list of packed and PRN brands currently in use, sorted by usage order from the highest to the lowest usage. This will give you an indication of how your Packing Bay shelves will look once it is set up.

2. Brand Usage Report (added in Version 7.2)

This report has been designed to give you a summary of your current active packed brands in use. This information is helpful if you were looking at consolidating your existing brands for your Packing Bay or Alpaca.

Improvements:

1. Displaying Packing Notes in Packing Bay

A new ‘Packing Notes’ area has been added to the medication profile. This will allow users to add a note, which will display on the Packing screen when the medication is scanned to be packed.

This additional feature is only available for our new Packing Bay function. Please refer to Packing Bay for further information or contact us for a demonstration.

2. Pickup/Delivery Manifest Report

The report will now include additional details, such as the Date & Time of which the packs were passed, as well as the User name.

Other Updates

1. Expiry of 6 months applied to Schedule 4D medications (applicable to NSW and TAS only)

In accordance to the New South Wales and Tasmanian State Regulations, Schedule 4D medications have a validity of 6 months. An additional option within the myPak program has been created to accommodate for customers in NSW and TAS to set the 6 month expiry date for these regulated S4D items.

In the Options tab of the left navigation bar, under the General tab, select the State in which you are located in. By choosing NSW and TAS, the software will automatically set the expiry date for Schedule 4D medications to 6 months.

Please ensure your drug data is kept up-to-date with the latest monthly drug file. For this S4D feature to work correctly, your pharmacy must run at least the June 2022 drug update or a later version.

Refer to Drug Data & Image Updates for further information on how to check and run the latest drug update.

2. Alpaca File Sending - Pack Start Date recorded in Patient Balance drug history

For ease of tracking and monitoring of deductions completed through sending files to the Alpaca, the corresponding ‘Pack start dates’ to the Batch # of the Alpaca file sent is recorded in the balance history in Patient Balance section of Virtual Pill Balance tab.

Resolved issues

  1. Packing Dispensed Report: The correct Date Dispensed, Script # , and Qty Dispensed will now display on the report.

  2. Inactive patients in Patients Not Linked to Dispense Report: Inactive patients will no longer be included in this report.
