Release Notes 7.4

New Features

The 7.4 release brings improvements, and enhancements based on feedback received from our customers. Details of some of the key changes are below:

Dispense Integration

1. New look of QScript with Fred Dispense - QScript Monitor

We have replaced the previous QScript banner with Fred with a new feature called QScript monitor. The new QScript monitor will now be opened as a separate window displaying queued script details. It will be pinned onto your screen until you close dot dispensing.

  • New QScript monitor will now be pinned on your screen until it shut down.

  • It can be moved to a suitable location on your screen where it won’t obstruct the dispense screen. E.g. Bottom right hand corner of the screen.

  • Dot dispense process in Fred (i.e. dot + enter) remains the same.

Refer to QScript Monitor with Fred Dispense for further information on how to use this function.

Facilities Setup

1. Ward creation by facility

  • You can now create ward codes within each facility.

  • The ward codes will then be available in the drop down box to be assigned within Patient details.

  • If a ward code is deleted, it will be removed from assigned patients and displayed as blank.

Refer to Setting up Facilities for further information on how to apply this function.

Fortnight and Monthly Pack Options

1. Fortnight Packs (2 weeks in 1 pack) - Timeslot 3 and 4 greyed out

Patients assigned to Fortnight packs will now see timeslot 3 and 4 greyed out in the patient profile. These timeslots are not required when setting up fortnight packs.

2. Subtracting 2 x Fortnight packs

A new tick box has been added Pack x 2 = 4 weeks to allow you to subtract a total of 4 weeks when packing fortnight (2 weeks in 1) packs.

When selected, you will see a 2nd lot of fortnight packs displayed which will equate to a total of 4 weeks to be packed.

Refer to Fortnight and Monthly Packs for further information on how to apply this function.

Reports

We have introduced 2 new Patient Reports.

1. My Mini Profile

This card folds up to fit inside your wallet giving you quick access to your latest medication profile. This information is handy while you’re on the go, for your GP and specialist appointments and especially during emergency situations.

2. Patients added between a date range

You can now report on patients that have been added into myPak within a specific date range.

See Report & Signing Sheets on how to apply this function.

Other:

New warning when license key is due to expire

Once your license is due to expire between 30 to 11 days, the number of days will display as red to warn you to contact myPak for a new license key.

Once your license key is due to expire in 10 or less days, an additional banner will be displayed along with a link to log a ticket for a new license key.

Resolved Issues

  1. Trifold labels: “Pack # of #” will now reflect the amount of packs with the same pack start date.

  2. Dispense Tracker: Patients listed in unmapped dropdown list will now be sorted alphabetically by surname.

  3. Packing Bay: A limit of drug locations has been applied. Location ZZ20 or 1040 will be the highest spot that can be allocated.

  4. Print & Send: Automation users will have access to 2 print options i.e. Print & Send and Print Only. You can now assign separate printer to each option.

  5. Drug Description Update: We have now resolved the issue of the updater successfully obtaining drug description from health link every month. myPak will also have the ability to push a manual drug update if there is none available from health link.

  6. Drug Usage Report: Usage Chart and excel summary will now include paused patients.

  7. Patient Photo Upload Date: When you upload a patient’s photo to the medication profile, a date stamp will be automatically assigned.

  8. Drug name in Patient profile can no longer be updated: Once a drug has been added to patient profile, you can no longer edit the brand name. You can still add drugs manually however once the drug has been saved to the profile - you will no longer be able to edit the brand name.

  9. Manually update existing Drug name in Profile: If you manually update existing drug name in profile by navigating back to search then selecting a new drug, it will be saved in the history as “Drug changed manually in profile” and your pill balance will be lost.
